SATURDAY

Rosalie nobly volunteers for pancake duty, so in true Hobbiton tradition, Vic volunteers for second breakfast.
Plenty of 'sheps' in New Zealand.
More mountainous terrain on the way to Coromandel.
Rosalie considers accommodation at the lower end , then walks the plank.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY.
I was promised a train ride, but this isn't quite what I had in mind.

New Zealand, are you ready?

So it's a 3am start. But I no' complain. How else would you see the sunrise over Bass Strait.

Some of us 'contain ourselves in patience'.

Note the entirety of Rosalie's luggage -
that's an experienced traveller for you. (But who's got no socks?)

Seated next to her father for the 3 1/2 hour flight, Rosalie was heard to ask in exasperation "Are you sure you didn't bring your hearing aid?"

Maybe this would help.  "What?"

10th floor, downtown Auckland. Noisier than Middleton.

It's been a long day. Goodnight.
